BEHIND the COMPANY
Do we find beauty only in special places and exclusive settings? Or can beauty simply be a part of life and turn our living spaces into special places? For over 50 years, we’ve been providing an answer to this question. By not only designing everyday objects, but perfecting them. We are guided by style, functionality, and high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
A lion that opens doors.
Harald Walther loved the idea that everything could be more beautiful and better. That’s how Decor Walther began in 1973 as a small specialty shop for brass, door, and furniture hardware—featuring a lion’s head as a door handle. The idea grew and became a success story when we discovered the world of bathrooms. A whole universe. Today, the small shop has become an international brand bearing the lion in its logo. What began in Frankfurt is now at home around the world.
A brand that thrives on family values.
Maiken and Henry Walther run Decor Walther today. They are driven by a passion for aesthetic design, expressive creativity, and the artful craftsmanship of materials. It is this dialogue between generations that shapes the brand’s identity.
For every day, yet never ordinary.
Perhaps this is the secret behind our product line: even though you encounter it every day, it never loses its unique charm. The beauty of the product offers added value that goes beyond its function—namely, the fact that you enjoy it every day.
Seeing things in a new light.
Beautiful things have the power to change the way we perceive the world. No matter how big or small. Sometimes, all it takes is a stylish accessory to create a completely new look. That’s the idea: to create objects that define spaces and give personality room to breathe.
Materials that speak their own language.
Whether brass, glass, porcelain, or wood—the diversity of materials is what defines us. As an expression of style, value, and timelessness, they are part of Decor Walther’s signature style. They appeal to the senses—first through the eyes, and then through the hands.
Combine, assemble.
We choose our partners very carefully. They are often family-owned businesses like ours. Sometimes they are traditional workshops, sometimes high-tech firms. But they are always specialized in a single material. Mutual respect forms the foundation and, in turn, becomes the building block for creating value. Finally, when we assemble all these beautiful components with great care into a precise whole.
